SUMMARY OF DUTIES

Primarily responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating the MST program and supervising program staff in achieving positive case outcomes using adherence to the MST model and analytical process. Implementation of MST services and provision of on-call crisis response with 24/7 availability.


EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

  • Masters' Degree from a school accredited by a recognized accrediting agency. Requires knowledge of an advanced type.

License(s) required:

  • Hawaii licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) OR
  • Hawaii licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) OR
  • Hawaii licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) (at such time when inclusion is incorporated into the Medicaid State Plan Amendment and Contractors are officially notified by CAMHD).

EXPERIENCE

Over one year, up to and including two years.

Other (Specify):

Two years' post-master's degree experience working with children and families, preferably in family preservation and stabilization. At least one year supervisory experience.

Preferred Experience

  • Direct use of pragmatic (i.e. structural, strategic and functional) family therapies.
  • Marital therapy using behaviorally-based approaches.
  • Behavioral therapy targeting school behavior and academic performance.
  • Implementation of interventions within or between systems in the participant's natural ecology that affect or influence the behavior of youth (i.e. family, peer, school, and neighborhood).

OTHER POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • This job requires a valid Hawaii driver's license and a clear driver's abstract and continued employment may be contingent on maintaining a clear driver's abstract.

  • This job requires a valid Hawaii driver's license, a clear driver's abstract, and use of agency vehicle to transport participants, as needed, as well as a willingness to travel in personal vehicle on an as-needed basis throughout the island.
  • The nature of this position requires the incumbent to be on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • Verification of licensure/certification will be required at time of appointment/hire, and continued employment is contingent on maintaining licensure/certification.
  • This position is subject to a criminal background investigation and continued employment is contingent on a record clear of convictions.
  • Continued employment in this position is contingent on successful completion of CPR, CPI and/or van driving training as such training is necessary to ensure ability/continued ability to perform essential functions of this job.
