SUMMARY OF DUTIES

The Budget & Billing Analyst is responsible for budget preparation and analysis, reports and revisions in a timely and efficient manner. Reconciles contract income, allocates expenses when applicable and analyzes accounting reports for errors or unusual transactions. Prepares backup documentation for submittal with invoices and expenditure reports. Reviews and analyzes fee for service programs' billing variances. Prepares ad hoc analytical reports and budget models. Is responsible for addressing billing discrepancies. Prepares year-end revenue and expense projections. Completes revenue reconciliations for cost reimbursement contracts. Maintains and updates active and inactive accounts in budget system. Liaises with program management and government funding agencies. Provides decision support to management and recommends alternative courses of fiscal action for program profitability enhancement/deficit elimination. May be assigned billing entry duties for contracts. May be assigned other duties.


EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

  • Four-Year College Degree from a school accredited by a recognized accrediting agency - requires accounting, finance, economics, or business administration major.

EXPERIENCE

  • Over two years, up to and including four years.
